## About Max

Max (he/him) is a passionate athlete with a bright smile. He began Tae Kwon Do at a young age and earned his black belt before moving on to gymnastics. Max was quickly recruited to join a competition team and now competes in both national and international meets. USA Gymnastics honored him as an Academic All-American.

When he's not perfecting his gymnastics moves, Max loves playing various instruments, including the cello, vihuela, and ukulele, and spending time with his rescue cats, Peaches Burger and Mr. Poopers (aka Chunky Jeff). As a proud GenderCool Champion, he is also involved in the GenderCool Play it Out campaign.

Max and his family have been vocal advocates for transgender youth in their home state of Texas and far beyond.
