Overview

The GenderCool Project is a fast-growing, culture-changing, life-saving nonprofit focused on changing people’s often misinformed opinions with real, positive experiences meeting transgender and non-binary youth who are thriving.

With 30+ states trying to pass anti-trans youth legislation that will actually end lives, and with the Equality Act on the line nationally, there’s a newfound sense of urgency to take bold, creative action to succeed by continuing to build upon the efforts and historic leadership of the transgender and non-binary community and allies who have come before us.

We’ve built a new powerful platform for the voices of our GenderCool Champions. GenderCool has harnessed the youth voice of our “Champions” (extraordinary and diverse transgender and non-binary youth ages 12-18) to put a human face on “trans rights are human rights.”

GenderCool Champion Stella’s historic testimony before the U.S. Senate in support of the Equality Act in March, and discussion with First Lady Dr. Jill Biden in April, has gone viral. In addition, on June 25, GenderCool Champion Ashton met with and introduced President Biden and presented him with our first-of-its-kind book series.
